Hi, I’m Eden
Therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation, not a one-sided nod-fest where you’re left wondering if you’ve said too much. Spoiler: you haven’t.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and I’ve been working in mental health since 2012. Over the years I’ve worked with people in different settings, inpatient, outpatient, and correctional, doing a bit of everything from therapy to assessments and evaluations.
In therapy, I take a practical, supportive, and collaborative approach. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), which is just a way of saying we’ll work together to untangle unhelpful thought patterns, shift the ones that aren’t serving you, and find a path forward that actually feels right. I won’t tell you what to do, but I’ll help you figure out what works without the pressure to “fix” everything all at once.
Beyond the Work
I care more about being genuine than performing, and connection over small talk. I’m curious by nature and tend to ask the kinds of questions that make people pause in a good way, not because I’m trying to analyze anyone, but because I care about what’s underneath. That’s always been true of me, even outside the therapy room.
I like things that tell a story, wandering thrift shops, collecting pieces that catch my eye, cooking for people I care about. Cooking’s how I show up for others: not perfect, not polished, just curious and wholehearted. At home, there’s Turbo, my lab who thinks he’s my assistant therapist. His approach is less about CBT and more about supervising my cooking, making friends with everyone, and demanding attention, but he keeps me grounded.
But more than anything, I value those quiet, unspoken moments of connection. Whether with a friend, my family, or someone I’m working with, when, just for a second, we both remember that no one really has it all figured out. And honestly? That’s kind of the point.
If that sounds like the support you’re looking for, let’s connect.
